Deals & pipeline
A pipeline you can trust
Deals move across a board by stage. A win is a claim that someone else approves, so the won column means what it says.

Board by stage
Drag a deal or use Move to… on a desk. On a phone, a stage switcher keeps the board readable.
Won and lost
Separate won and lost lists. A lost deal can be reopened; a pending win can be withdrawn.
Wins need someone else
With win approval on, a claim waits for a person who may approve deals for that owner, and never the person who claimed it.
Refused by the database
The database itself will not store a won deal that has not been approved. No screen or script can skip the step.
A timeline per deal
Every stage change, claim and decision lands on the deal's history and timeline, with its emails when the inbox is on.
Discussion and @mentions
Comment, reply and mention colleagues on the deal. Mentioning someone who cannot open it is refused by name.
From open to won
How a deal closes
The steps are the same for every rep, and the record shows who did each one.
Work the board
Each column is a stage. Move deals by dragging or with Move to…; every move is recorded with who made it and when.

On the phone, too
The app shows the open pipeline, its weighted value and the stages, one at a time.

Claim the win
The rep states the contract value and the share won. With approval on, the deal stays open at its stage until someone decides.

Someone else decides
The request goes only to people who can decide it. They approve, or refuse with a reason. Approvals waiting show on Today.

The specifics
What keeps the pipeline honest
- 01Value before a win
- A win cannot be claimed without a contract value. The claim records the value, the share won and an optional note.
- 02Pending is still pipeline
- A claim waiting for approval stays in the pipeline. Only an approved win counts as revenue.
- 03Client tiers
- Each company gets a tier from a score out of 100, built from revenue, pipeline, engagement and tenure. The company page shows the tier, score, reason and the working.
- 04Pin a tier
- A tier can be pinned by hand, and a pinned tier is not recomputed. The companies list filters by tier.
- 05Deal timeline
- History and timeline on the deal, and with the inbox on, the emails linked to it, each as its owner shares it.
- 06Every change audited
- Claims, decisions and moves are written to the audit log with the person, the time and the change.
people for every approved win: the one who claims it and the one who approves it
client tiers: platinum, gold, silver, bronze, basic
parts of a tier score: revenue, pipeline, engagement, tenure
Approval is the organisation's choice
Win approval is a setting. When an organisation switches it off, a claimed win closes at once and the record says that approval was off. When it is on, nobody approves their own win.
Questions
Can a rep mark their own deal as won?
They can claim the win. With approval on, it is won only after someone who may approve deals for that rep, and is not the claimant, approves it.
Does a pending win count in the numbers?
It counts as pipeline, not revenue. Tiers and revenue use approved wins only.
Can a lost deal come back?
Yes. Reopen it and it returns to the pipeline, with the history kept.
