Prospecting

Find the next companies

Type what you are looking for, or search near you within a radius. Zaps shows which results are already yours or someone else's, and imports the rest with a follow-up for the right rep.

  • One search box

Search by words, or near me with a radius. Each source is listed with what it needs: a company key, your own key, or switched off.

  • A map search with no key

The built-in map search works without a key. Google Places and Foursquare work with the company's key or your own. The AI lead finder uses your plan's prospecting credits.

  • Daily and monthly limits

Each person sees their searches today and this month against their limits. Past a limit, Zaps says when it resets.

  • Already in Zaps?

Results are marked in Zaps (yours) or with someone else, so nobody imports a company a colleague already owns.

  • Import for a rep

Import one result or up to 50 at once, with a follow-up. With the right permission, import them for a rep instead of yourself.

  • Contacts from the website

Read a company's own website for phones, emails and contact names. Nothing is saved; you add what looks right.

From search to follow-up

Find, import, hand over

Prospecting ends with a named owner and a dated follow-up, not a spreadsheet.

Import and assign

Import one or up to 50 for yourself or for a rep, with a follow-up given to them. On Companies, Select hands many existing companies to one person.

The follow-up is waiting

The rep finds the follow-up in their list, dated, next to the company it belongs to.

Watch the flow

Search, assign to a rep, follow up

A manager finds companies, gives them to a rep, and the follow-up lands in the rep's day.

The specifics

Sources, limits and keys

01Who may search, and how much
Searching is a permission. The defaults are 100 searches a day and 2,000 a month per person, with overrides per role. Every search is counted before it runs.
02Google Places
Needs a Google Cloud key with Places API (New) on a billed project. Google charges per request after its free monthly usage, so set a quota cap.
03Foursquare and the AI lead finder
Foursquare has a free monthly allowance, then a price per 1,000 calls. The AI lead finder runs on prospecting credits: 50 per user a month on Growth, 100 on Scale, pooled, and the company can switch it off.
04Your own key
A person can save their own Google Places or Foursquare key. It is checked with the source first. Nobody, administrators included, sees more than its last four characters.
05Handing over in bulk
Select up to 200 companies and give them to one person, with or without their open work. Any refusals are listed.
06Outreach and door knocking
An outreach board by stage, with a touch logged from any row. Door knocking records a knock at your position, turns it into an appointment, and works with turfs drawn and assigned on a map.

sources: the built-in map search, Google Places, Foursquare and the AI lead finder

Coverage depends on the source

The built-in map search is free and needs no key, but its coverage of businesses, phones and websites in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is thin. The paid sources fill more, at their own prices, on your key.

Questions

Do we need to pay for a data source?

No. The built-in map search works without a key. Google Places and Foursquare need a key from the company or the person, and each charges on its own terms. The AI lead finder is included on Growth and Scale with prospecting credits each month.

Can a manager search for a rep?

Yes. With the assign permission, import results for a rep in your reach, with a follow-up that goes to them.

What happens when someone reaches their limit?

The search is refused with the limit, how many were used and when it resets. Administrators set the limits per person and per role.
